Who won a SCORE4africa Award in 2009?
AMAZING YEAR AHEAD FOR AFRICAN FOOTBALL!!
What an amazing set of results with Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana & Ivory Coast all qualifying for the World Cup in 2010!!
This is great news for Africa and great news for GUINNESS. The passion and pride ignited by football in Africa is unbelievable, and GUINNESS sits at the heart of this moment.
Here are just some of the ways that GUINNESS means football and football means GUINNESS.
- GUINNESS sponsors the television broadcast of all English Premier League matches across Africa with SuperSport - now in its third season.
- GUINNESS now has three amazing ambassadors! Superstar striker Samuel Eto’o from Cameroon was appointed this September. From Nigeria, the outstanding Jay Jay Okocha continues his partnership with GUINNESS following his signing in May as part of the GUINNESS 250 celebrations. Finally, our longest serving ambassador, Chelsea FC & Ghana hero Michael Essien continues to do great work across the continent. All three are heroes at home and across Africa and also serve as part of the Stay OnSide, Drink Responsibly campaign.
- GUINNESS has created several state-of-the-art mobile football match viewing centres that can accommodate up to 250 consumers. Widescreen televisions, surround-sound systems and the latest DJ equipment mean the party starts when the match ends.
- As official sponsor of both the Nigeria Super Eagles and Ghana Black Stars, distinctive colourful labels have been created on GUINNESS bottles to support both teams in their home market. This is a way to recognise their Greatness™ and celebrate their qualification for both the African Cup of Nations and the 2010 World Cup finals.
Because we are so closely linked with everyone’s enjoyment and passion for football, GUINNESS is proud to be part of this year’s SCORE4Africa awards.
